Guldenroede op Tiengemeten

This etching was made in response to a walk I made with a friend on a Dutch island, close to where we both grew up. It was filled with fade Goldenrod. A week or so later I found myself making this image and test printing it. The ones where I left ink on the bottom, I liked a lot. So, I printed more of those.
 
Etching is quite a labour-intensive ad manual way of making prints but it calms me down to follow all the steps in the proces. And I love the little accidents that happen while getting the ink off the plate and printing is with the large antique etching press.
 
The image is 7 x 10 cm big, with some white border around it. 
 
Materials: lamp black etching ink and etching paper.
